This article covers information about the Devil Social Link, President Tanaka, including events featured in Persona 3 and Persona 3 Portable.

The protagonist can start Tanaka's Social Link as early as June 23rd, though the first flag is on June 4th. To initiate his Social Link, the male protagonist must have Rank 4 Charm (Smooth), while the female protagonist must have Rank 2 Charm (Ingenue). The protagonist must also give him ¥20,000 then ¥10,000 over the next two days, ending in a total of ¥40,000. He can be found at night in Paulownia Mall on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Tanaka gives the protagonist a Thank-you Letter when the Social Link is maxed, which enables the fusion of Beelzebub.

Skills[]

Unlike Persona 4 and Persona 5, advancing a character's Social Link in Persona 3 does not grant skills usable in battle. Instead, completing the Fool Social Link, SEES, grants various benefits and abilities.

  • To initiate Tanaka's Social Link, the male protagonist must complete Hermit Rank 4, and the female protagonist must complete Hermit Rank 2.
  • Tanaka's Social Link will rank up automatically and does not require a matching Persona.
  • In Persona 3 FES, starting Tanaka's Social Link on January 31st will skip the final battle and lead directly to the true ending.[1]
