Social Link/Shinjiro Aragaki (2024)

This article covers information about the Moon Social Link, Shinjiro Aragaki, including events featured in Persona 3 Portable. Exclusive to the female protagonist's route, the Moon Social Link in the male protagonist's route is instead Nozomi Suemitsu.

The protagonist can start Shinjiro's Social Link as early as September 7th. He can be found at night in the lounge of Iwatodai Dormitory. Shinjiro's Social Link does not require any Social Link points to keep ranking him up. Maxing his Social Link will result in Shinjiro falling into a coma rather than dying. He also cannot be romanced in the traditional sense. There are no dialogue options to initiate a romance; instead, there is a choice to spend time with him in his room once his Social Link has been completed.

Shinjiro gives the protagonist a Leather Watch when the Social Link is maxed, which enables the fusion of Sandalphon.

Skills[]

Unlike Persona 4 and Persona 5, advancing a character's Social Link in Persona 3 does not grant skills usable in battle. Instead, completing the Fool Social Link, SEES, grants various benefits and abilities.

Availability[]

The Moon Social Link is semi-automatic, as it will always rank up regardless of the dialogue options chosen. After reaching Rank 9, however, the Social Link cannot progress until after the protagonist has found and returned Shinjiro's pocketwatch from Paulownia Mall's police station.
